how gr8 r they, wen they can do jazziness, oriental sounds, even dub, & put it all on planet techno & make it work! Lungfoo is just soooperb when u hear it on a big soundsystem... that jazziness floatin along with the techno o.m.f.g!

wot i always liked is how they keep their identity on their stuff ...

I suspect that's a reference to the hip hop producers of the time who use to favour the Roland TR808 as their choice source of drums...the 808 has always been a hip hop/electro sounding machine (check Afrika Bambata for a good example), whereas the 909 is the house-head's beatbox!

:) im a bit of a rookie i ave 2 say id rather keep it simple just ave a few units 2 muck around with im afraid the pc frightens me a bit i just use it for chitchat & silly art. i get turned on walkin into turnkey london seein all the little machines

808s music is gr8 for all situations it's them that showed me that dance music is not about cheese but about euphoria, so it's hearing "90" wot got me off me arse up to mcr in me L8 teens to see wot hacienda wer like...
tho the time it touched me most wer travelin down from inverness thru aviemore ...

as for comps i like the tresor "true spirit" mixed bag o'techno!

just started. got meself a yamaha su200 sampler & roland mc303. basic stuff really, just playin around at the mo,but gettin some gud results. have to say these guys inspire me! doin abit of 4/4 stuff trance & techno with sum weird fx.
