808 State Discussion

Just thought I would share my brief report from last week's Planet of Love Festival here in Finland, which featured Hacienda Room and many Mancunain songs and influences, including 808's "Pacific".

I was at the Manchester Arena too - The Prodge were absolutely awesome!! I have seen them live 4 times now and that night was the best yet. I like all their songs, but I do prefer some of there early stuff, so it was really cool to hear Charly & Out Of Space at the end.

it depends on your budget, as you can spend a lot of money on really good quality headphones. But I got a pair of "Numark HF125" headphones for under £10 and have been very impressed with them.

Whatever happened to Matt Thompson? Does he still DJ on Radio / in clubs?

I used to love listening to him (and of course the 808 State Boys before/afterwards) DJ'ing back in the day of Kiss 102. Especially the crossover bits, where the the 808 boys would just take the mic out of Matt all the time ...
