Ha ha. You sold me one then gave me one for my spare tickets as I had sneaked a guestlist. Cheers M.

Always remember saying to the doorman I was on Graham Massey's guestlist and he came back with who's Graham Massey. Pupils like plates and sweating like a shower I had to explain. Sore one.

Come to think of it the doormen in Edinburgh didn't know that Graham is God.

Plums.

I am currently trying to sort a wee jaunt to sunny Mcr so if you see me hide. What's the story with the gig? Can I take my bottle of JD and am I going to get beasted by a sniffer dog. Still got memories of necking all my goodies before going into Braehead then getting a Taxi home to Edinburgh (seventy f uckin squid) cos I was mongoed. (Sorry if a bit unPC but I was).

Over and out.

bet key 103 have never played a single 808 record, except maybe when stu allen was on board! don't think i've got anybody to drag along with me. does anybody reckon they'll play O/T stuff? my girlfriend might come with me if i convince her they're definitely gonna play '606' as she's well into that one.

I think that it's very likely that they'll play '606', although Guy Garvey might not be around to do the vocals...

Having said that, he seems to be playing at some point during the weekend, so you never know (according to the In The City site).

Wish I could be there...

Scruffy Penis Base Camp

Just to say that Scruffy Penis Base Camp has been established, now that I'm staying at the Castlefield Hotel during the weekend. If anyone wants to meet up before heading to either gig PM me.

Hopefully we'll run into Nick and Pete's mate Scruffy for an early shower.

glad to see Nick isn't perfect!

606 was sung by simon lord from simian not guy garvey.

looks like 606 WILL be played with Graham on vocoder, along with Boogieman, Wheatstraw & Crossword (with Darren on vox) from OT!

Just to say that KEY 103 did used to support 808 in a big way. Apart from Pete Mitchells regular interviews with the band and playing new releases, they also had an 808 day whereby every hour they played an 808 record and the first person to ring in would win tickets to the local gig.

Those were the days :(

Markus - As the timings are not advertised anywhere, are you certain from your source that 808 do come on at 9.00pm, could this change to 10 by any chance or it is one of those 'health and safety 9pm get the feckers out by 10 start issues'

If not if you could ask Graham nicely to take his time getting onto the stage, like one hour, so I can see them at 10.00pm

This would make a wonderful birthday present, please don't spoil it :D :D :D :D
