808 State - Ku, Ibiza - 1989
Can anybody tell me if 808 State played the Ku in 89? I read somewhere that Garnier and Sasha played at this night. Would be most interested to know about this night.
The reason I asked is this... taken from Jonathan Fleming's What Kind of House Party is this... Laurent Garnier interview...
Also '89 in Ibiza at the Ku Club with 808 state - Sasha and me DJ'ing. At the end when we switched off all the lights in the club at eight o' clock in the morning, the people went mad. I thought they were gonna smash the place up just for more music, so for the next hour we played, one record me, one record Sasha, and I have never seen a crowd like this. That was great f***ing unbelievable.
Sounds like a good 'un.
I thought Garnier may have been out by a year on the date since Sasha was not too well known at that point. But cheers for the reply.
