NEWBUILD on 3LP (Rephlex)

Post by borisvian »

Hello folks. I'm after a copy of Newbuild on vinyl as reissued by Rephlex. Does anyone have one for sale or know where I can still pick it up? Searches on the internet and in London shops have proved abortive.

Please help if you can - darkdarkambient@yahoo.co.uk

Hmmm, although it was re-pressed only a few months ago, it seems to be out-of-print already. I suppose that's the problem with vinyl these days, only really small amounts get pressed up. I see hmv.co.uk claim they can get it within 7 days, but I have my doubts, especially since they also say that about the Invader single which surely they don't have as Bellboy records are no more. Also the fact that warprecords don't list it doesn't give much hope, then again they don't even list the cd.
Ah, hold on, http://www.sisterray.co.uk/ list it. You could even pop in since you live London :) Let us know if they really have it or if they are just pretending...

You know I'm not sure if the Vinyl was repressed in November last year (which is when the CD was)... :-?

I'll have a search out for it on Internet shops, and if I find one (assuming Sister Ray don't have it), then I'll let you know! :D

Bizarrely enough, it seems to be available at HMV Japan (in stock, usually ships in 24 hours), which is a bit extreme for a UK album, but there you go! :P

Other than that, it only seems to be available from a Swiss seller on Musicstack:

Ah, the one place I forgot to check! :D

Amazon marketplace is very good - not a lot of people tend to check there, instead relying too much on ebay... Sometimes you can buy stuff on Amazon marketplace, and then sell it on ebay for quite a big profit! :P

Congrats on finding a copy - it does seem to be very scarce to track down nowadays (even scarcer than the Creed original, so it would seem)...

Yes- and sometimes one can find OOP stuff being sold by some warehouse in America for a good price.

Now all I need are the New Order remixes and I can throw me an acid party!

So just to get it straight, where did you find Newbuild in the end? Amazon marketplace, just like Prebuild?

Nay lad, unfortunately not. It was on the LP trade list of an associate of a friend.

While I've been looking all over the original has sold on eBay two or three times!

My search turned it up on djnexus for (where is that international keyboard stroke?) 41 pounds. I'm e-ing you the info.

If you know anyone in Los Angeles or San Fransisco, Amoeba music has a great market for finding vinyl in the states. I purchased my copy there a year ago. From what I remember, they had a great selection of OOP 808 on vinyl.
