- 22 bit re-mastering. A few years ago Wagram France re-issued a few 808 State CDs with 22 bit digital remastering. See picture below. Since I don't own and haven't got the right equipment anyway, I can't compare. Anyone? Anyway, obviously it would be nice to the re-issues to be re-mastered. Don't think this is too outrageous as it's obviously been done before.
- Box set with State2State3? It occured to me that people buying all six CDs should receive them in a boxset. The box could include a bonus disc (State To State Volume 3) with all the stuff included that doesn't make it onto the individual bonus discs. Pretty outrageous I know, but ZTT did the bonus disc thing with Optibuk and New Order with Retro. The box production wouldn't have to bee too expensive for ZTT and it would be a nice reward for people shelling out on six albums. Could be a highly limited edition, e.g. only 100. Numbered individually, OK I'm getting carried away now.
- Tracks merged into eachother? 808 have always made a point of mixing tracks into eachother on their albums, it is characteristic for their albums. It's been suggested to publish them with breaks. I disagree, I'm even going so far as to suggest that the break that originally happened on CD, because vinyl was propably still king (Ninety), is replaced with merging. In Ninety's case that would be between Pacific and Donkey Doctor. So the options are: Break them up, merge them all (making the re-issues more collectible and a finger to people trying to create mp3s), or leave it like it was. Let's have a heated debate!
