I had a track that used a sample from this song on tape, till it broke about five years ago, I taped it from a late night show by Andy Weatherall probably in between 1995-2000. It wasn't release as by 808 State, but it was by them. Any ideas?

It was released (well I say "released" perhaps it never was) under a different name, as I said the only ever time I heard it was on a Weatherall show late one night, can't even remember what radio station, it had an electro sample running throught as well, I know the sample but can't put a name to it, I could hum it but that doesn't really help does it! Cheers anyway.

Another thought......... Andy played a remix of Sour Times (Portishead) on the same show (a thrashy one) it was the first time I heard the track in any variation, so I'm guessing summer of 94?

1990 does sound a bit to long ago, but then again I can't remember going to bed last night so you never know!
Looking around the forum you guys seem to be the resident experts so I really appreciate your help on my quest.

MASSIVE APOLOGIES Guys!!!!!

I've just been going thru the Bazzas greatest Hits, and I'm embarrassed to say I've named the wrong track sample.........

It's the piano / organ bit at the start from " I’m gonna love " !!!

Please feel free to flame / slate me for this foe paux, but if you can help me find the track, that would be really appreciated.

Hi Dobbin,

I take it you mean the Massonix track rather than the Barry White track it's based on:

Massonix

as you will notice it was vinyl only so unfortunately I can't help with a sample. You should be able to find it reasonably easy from the usual sources.
