808 covers new order? any truths

Post by j the teacher »

From http://www.neworderonline.com/News.aspx?NewsID=764

808 State's Prebuild has been postponed until early 2004. This is due to sample clearance issues and Graham finding more unreleased Acid tunes from the Newbuild era. Two of them that won't make it onto Prebuild are covers of New Order's Blue Monday and Confusion, which Rephlex plans on releasing

TRUTH,half-truth or NO truth???

Well, since it's taken straight off our news section (08:08:03) obviously there is truth to it. What Rephlex plan to do with it is another story. We can only hope they will release it! Then again they were also supposed to release a 12" along the Newbuild re-release, which we're still waiting for...

Yes, I haven't heard anything further on release dates for either Prebuild or Blue Monday, although apparently Prebuild is nearing a release date (early 2004).

So, early 2004 brings a lot of releases and an unhappy bank manager (mine!) - A Guy Called Gerald (single, new album, and 28 Gun Bad Boy & Black Secret Technology reissues), Revenge (Peter Hook of New Order - reissued album), 808 State (Prebuild), Orb (UK release date of new album), Benaco (Art Of Noise remix and album), Toolshed (album), Orbital (album) - to name but a few! 8)

Looking forward to them all!

l8rs,

Nick ;)

New Order have given the OK, so Blue Monday is safe. However Arthur Baker also has a say on Confusion, it's in his hands now.
