Benaco (aka Andy)

Post by nickking »

Just to let you know that Andy's new pseudonym is called Benaco (previously Kompressor). They are signed to Karvavena Records (http://www.nutopia.demon.co.uk/Karvavena/) and the first results will probably be the long-delayed 'The Abduction Of The Art Of Noise', out through Iris Light Records in October (allegedly! :P ) - http://www.irislight.demon.co.uk/lcomps.htm

Amazon UK say October 13th as the release date http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 11-4730213

(Apparently, promo copies of the CD are doing the round, but not sure if Benaco's remix is on it)

Hi everyone... I am running Karvavena Records and looking after Andy/Benaco. I really hope the long delayed ABDUCTION OF THE ART OF NOISE is out in October but I have a feeling it may be more like November!

There are no album promos doing the rounds yet - although there is a 4-track promo CD sampler for AVON's forthcoming Karvavena album, Salary Man. This features his version of Art of Noise's 'Legs'. They went out to DJs in Germany/Japan/UK a couple of weeks ago. Avon: http://www.avonmastercomputer.com

I have heard some tasters of Andy's Benaco album and it is sounding absolutely wicked!! :P Really up-beat, fresh, melodic... We are really looking forward to pressing up and putting out the final version. It should defintely be out before the end of the year. Some tasty T-shirts (and website) in plan too. ;) I'll keep you posted. And/or keep an eye on http://www.karvavena.com

The Iris Light label unfortunately are going out of business. This means you should probably hurry up if you haven't got the compilation yet.
Also, on the subject of Benaco, will the album ever see the light of day?
Is karvavena still in business Ian?

Yes - Iris Light Records has shut up shop. Karvavena, though, will never die!...

So you can still order TAOTAON feat. Benaco from www.karvavena.com. We're at www.myspace.com/karvavena , too.

The Benaco album is on ice, as you might have guessed, but it will come one day I hope.

Thanks Ian, glad to hear Karvavena is still going strong. Sad about Benaco though.
