A lot of EDM is not really house. The 4/4 kick is there but the synths are kind of like trance. It's overall not very good sounding music. House was in the past. Techno too. It's just something some people need to come to terms with.

Also it metions that Blacks use stock sounds instead of synthesizer programming. This would be true to a point. One difference between Blacks and whites at a music store is Black people like playing with others or playing off other people when testing out a keyboard. They genrally go for newer rompler type equipmnet and will just use a sound that sounds good to them even if it is a stock sound. White people are more passive and will tweak synthesizer and like more vintage synthesizers. Blacks also play their music at loud volumes. Whites will turn the volume down not to attract attention.
