Is the mighty 808 butterfly logo now extinct?

Sorry to see no inclusion on the OT artwork, I know you gotta change image now and then, but I'm starting a campaign to save the butterfly, who's with me?

I like the butterfly but I never bought one of those t-shirts because it is nameless.
I would be tired of people asking me what it represented.

I'd rather a t-shirt or the band's signature to have the band's name on it.

A simple black 808 State on white will do me.
Then people would be aware.

i did see a black t-shirt @ castlefield in august with thepsychoecstatictrancenducinggrooveridingtechnofunkalogicalsoundof 808 state on the front in white print!

i thought about shrinking the butterfly (as in fred perry logo) with 808state below?

i'd also like to get the nod on re-doing the old skool style with the big 808 on the front, maybe New Build / Quadrastate images? will the pre build album cover have old skool styles?

ideas people c'mon!

The big red/yellow 808 would look good especially if it was a reproduction of the Quadrastate cover with the satellite image in the background but without "quadrastate". I've always wanted to see a Pacific t-shirt, it would look f***ing cool with the wave swooshing all the way up.

I thought of one with thepsychoecstatictrancenducinggrooveridingtechnofunkalogicalsoundof808state on it but surely it would need to be in VERY small print or else it would be on more than one line and therefore look naff. On a modern note, 808 state with a smaller butterfly like on the Invader cover would be good.

A t-shirt similar to the current ones Pete, but with the band name written as it is on the Gorgeous / Invader covers across the chest would be great, with the little butterfly logo attached to the 'e', instead of a big butterfly.

What do you reckon? Is this possible?

Big '808' logos in the ringed typeface a la Quadrastate are the way forward! (with maybe 'thepsychoecstatictrancenducinggrooveridingtechnofunkalogicalsoundof808state' in tiny print across the top of the back!)

my biggest concern is the type of t-shirt used (i the 'cut' and colour)...the Fruit of the Loom ones r shite and hang off ur back like a baggy rag!!! (no offence to anyone who still considers themselves a 'baggy' lol!) I recently bought a 'Soma' (Soma Records) t shirt in a cool army green from their website - and the fit is much better (still only paid £16!) The brand is called 'GILDAN Activewear', 'ultra cotton heavyweight' and they do look good...

I liked the 808 butterfly logo. David, I would definitley have bought a shirt with the logo on it. I find it fun to introduce others to a group they probably never heard of before.
