Well, you could buy a region-free DVD player, or do a search on the net and see if your player can be hacked via the remote control?

It's frustrating, but not as frustrating as living in the UK and watching most movies only being released in region 1 only!

Hence, why region-free DVD players are quite popular over here! :P

I live in the US.
I purchased the OptiBUK dvd from HMV.com
I thought (because they advertised it) it was for region 1 (however it was region 2-6 actually).
I planned on getting a region free DVD player, but I instead found http://www.regionfreedvd.net/ which gives directions on how to change the region of your dvd player. I did not have to buy a new dvd player and I can now view the region 2-6 OptiBUK dvd on my original region 1 DVD player.
Go to www.regionfreedvd.net and click on DVD players and then scroll down to find your DVD PLAYER. It has many brands of DVD players....I would try the directions before buying the DVD just in case...I found my DVD player and tried the directions and IT WORKS!!!!

That's the spirit! :D

IMHO, that's probably the only way you'll get to see the Optibuk DVD (unless it somehow makes a release in America/Canada)...

Good luck!

Jason, in addition to the info of Nick & J - are you planning to view it on a DVD drive on your PC, or on a standalone DVD player through your TV?

Thanks for the info guys, I really appreciate it. I'll give that web site a try. I'm assuming this same "strategy" will work for Orbital's Altogether dvd? Has anyone checked that out yet?

I will be viewing this on a stand alone dvd player for now, I have a pretty sweet dolby digital system. If I were to view it on a dvd-rom via my computer, would I have to do any type of "region hacking"?

Well I looked into getting the DVD Region X for the PS2 to play Region 2 dvd's on, but it won't play PAL format or something, unless my TV can handle PAL, which I have no idea if it does.
