I loved 808 State in the early 90s - even saw them live at the Quart Festival in Kristiansand, Norway in July 1993. It's still one of my all time favourite concerts.
Last year I bought their Optibuk DVD - it was so fun to see all those videos again.
According to this site, 808 is still active and making music. I admit that I haven't heard anything by them since around 1997. Have they released new music since 97? What does their current stuff sound like?
Did they change their style when the rave wave ended almost 10 years ago?
Unfortunately, they are not very much in the media any longer.

Also worth buying is Prebuild to get a feel of their sound before the most commercial albums of 90 and Ex:el. The famous 808 sound, It's always different, yet always somehow the same. That's the beauty of 808.
