There is a chance that 808 State will be performing two or three tracks at the Manchester versus Cancer concert. There is even a rumour that MC Tunes will be joining them...

This seems to be confirmed now, although so far no mention of 808 on the mvc site. Tickets go on sale Saturday 10 am!

808 are confirmed, but bare in mind this is not a full set ,3 or 4 tunes
at the most , but you get new order and half the smiths,doves .badly
its growing all the time and there will be some odd combos of all these
i think there was talk of Hooky <Mani and Andy Roarke doing their Bass band..

I believe Nick is going, but he's currently chilling in the Phillipines, so not sure how he's going to get a ticket. Hopefully he's asked someone to get one for him.

Yup, I'm going - hopefully my mate will have booked me tickets (was going to go for New Order anyway)!

It's not (currently) mentioned on their website, but was confirmed in an e-mail sent out Thursday/Friday.

Should be good - I'd already pre-booked a hotel (Travel Inn, MEN Arena) some weeks ago - staying there with a mate who's flying down from Edinburgh.

Dunno whether I'm flying this time, or catching a train - will decide when I get back off holiday!

I believe that there will be a pub gathering for the New Order fans somewhere closeby, although the pub venue has yet to be decided. As soon as they decide over there on NOOL, I'll post the name up here - might be Weatherspoons or The Old Monkey...

Oh, btw, Utah Saints (DJ'ing, presumably?) are opening at 7pm... Since I'll probably be in Manchester for around 1pm, it could be a long day (and no tea will be drunk, if my last visit to Manchester for the New Order Apollo gig is anything to go by)!!
